English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
A significant percentage (10%) of Ireland's population is now foreign born and mixed ethnic origin is beginning to be seen as the norm; hence the need to provide appropriate English language teaching (ESOL) to both school-going students and adults.
The 'English for Speakers of other Languages' (ESOL) literacy project supports local VEC adult literacy schemes in their efforts to cater for non-English speakers.
